Synopsis
Political activists conspire to drive a critical vote in their favor. They might succeed if only they could ignore their robot vacuum cleaner and focus on the issues at hand.
Proposition 27 was made as part of the 2005 48 Hour Film Contest (Philadelphia) by Citizen Wumpus Productions. It marks our third 48 Hour Film. In the contest, teams were given a genre, a prop, a line of dialog, and character that had to be in the movie.
The genre was Sci-Fi.
The prop: umbrella.
The character: D. Ayers, Political Activist.
The line: I've never seen one of those before.
This information was given on Friday evening at 7:00PM, and the finished short had to be dropped off by 7pm on Sunday night.
From that information, the story of a robotic vacuum and political operatives consumed by hubris and hypocracy was born.
