Terrence Ryan

Make the trouble worse.

Born and raised outside of Philadelphia, PA, Terrence was introduced to the world of story telling through Polywumpus, the improv comedy group that later evolved into Citizen Wumpus.

Since trading in the improv stage for a keyboard, he has produced several feature length screenplays and many shorts.

While his writing has encompassed very distinct genres his unique brand of humor is present throughout his works. It can be seen as the driving force in a Mockumentary, or comic relief in a Romance. However of all the genres he has explored, his favorite is the Supernatural Thriller.

In addition to writing, Terrence has taken a more technical role behind the scenes as an editor and sometimes cameraman. In the near future he hopes to try his hand at more directing.

In his own words:

It was the night we saw our first short Eugene Elliot on the big screen. We had an audience of 300 people, and I was extremely nervous. It was a mockumentary, and it was supposed to be funny. I thought it was, but then again I wrote it and sweated along with everyone else while we were making it. I am very afraid of groupthink; we all thought it was funny, but could we make them laugh, could we make absolute strangers laugh? Not only did we make them laugh, they were laughing so hard at some of the jokes, that they missed the follow up jokes. I remember walking out of the theatre and thinking, why would I want to do anything else?
